A New Addition

The last few weeks have been pretty busy. I love summer! I have a lot more to say than I have time for right now so I will get to all of that at a later free moment. But for the time being we have an announcement... we got a new puppy!

Her name is, well... that is the problem. We just can't pick one. So I am asking you to help us. The current choices are: Reeses (from her coloring), Eldie (It should actually be L.D. because until we choose a name we keep calling her little dog.), or Thadea (it means courageous or fearless and she is!). If you have any other ideas leave a comment but otherwise vote on the poll.

A Memory Game..

This is a fun little game Brooke had and I thought I'd try it out: (Thanks Brooke!)

Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2.Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Vegas!!

Last week we took a little break and headed to sin city. It was a BLAST! We got a great deal at the Venetian, which was amazing! We were really impressed. I don't know if we will be able to stay in a normal hotel again. I mean every bathroom needs to be marble with a flat screen TV, right? We just wanted a summer getaway and it was sure perfect. Here are some pics to share of our little journey.
As one does in Las Vegas, we did a lot of walking. It was beautiful too! Some don't enjoy it as much right now because of the heat but I thought it was great! These are just a couple of shots in front of our hotel at the beginning of our stay.

These pics were taken as we walked and walked and walked some more. We got a little ambitious and were pretty exhausted by the time we made it back. Those hotels are lot bigger than they seem from a car! I hope someday Mark and I will be able to walk the streets of the real Paris and take pictures by the actual monuments but for now this will have to do!Saying hello to some close friends. These are some of the wax museum's examples they have out front. We walked by them nearly everytime we left our hotel.
More fun pictures of our "travels". Every time we tried to take these pictures on our own people kindly offered to do it for us but we kind of like them sometimes.I would have to say one of my favorite parts of our trip was of course... the food! We ate at some great places, especially the buffets! It was fun to try new things too! And we saw... Nope, not the blue man group but the wax figures!! They were hanging out in our hotel too! We did, however, get to see Phantom of the Opera. It was amazing!! I wish we had taken pictures but we were so excited we forgot!

We even had some time to visit our friends at the M&M factory! They were super excited to see us and show us their view of Vegas.
We really had a great little vacation, we also enjoyed the pool among other things that are too many to mention. We ended the trip with a visit to Matt and Marcee & Family in St. George. It was great to see them and spend some time with them. We need to visit more often.
