Official??

It's official (I hope!) I am teaching 6th grade at Meadow Elementary in Lehi next year.  I am still a little anxious about the possibility of a change... but this should be pretty solid.  I am so excited to be back in my element.  The school and people have been really nice and seem excited to have me.  I am so relieved to have that decision made.  I will miss Deerfield but not like I miss Welby this year.  I still think about that place and those people every day.  I think coming here I knew it was a possibility to change the next year, so I am not as attached.  I will miss people though and definitely my kids and the community.
Just thought I would share my news!

Keeping Up

Now that you have all had ample time to examine that massive unorganized amount of pics it is time to write yet again.

All is well in our neck of the woods. Mark is busy at school, actually enjoying some of his classes this semester. He changed branches at work to one closer to school. It is busier too, I think, and that makes time go by much more quickly. I am busy teaching 3rd grade. As crazy as this year started it has actually turned out for the better. My class is adorable. There are days they drive me nuts but in all seriousness, they were sent to me. I learn a lot from them. They have an innocence that is rare to find in 6th graders. Given that, I will still most likely be in 6th grade again next year. (I say most likely now because until the next school year starts officially I don't want to bank on much!) I am not sure where, it could even be the same school, but somewhere! My principal reminded me that my passion lies in the upper grades, particularly 6th. She said I do great with little ones but LOVE 6th and she can see it. It was nice to have someone confirm how I felt. So, sometime soon we will see where I go...

As for other news, a long lost friend from my mission called. I had no way to find her and out of the blue she called. Her name is Najah and she is moving to the USA! She is marrying someone here. I am so excited for her and to have her back in my life! It was pretty miraculous to find each other again. Also, my little brother Josh joined the Marines. He is still in boot camp and actually sounds a little bored. (Such a busy mind!) He is doing well and I am so proud of him!

Saturday, my sister-in-law Alyssa, my neighbor Kim, and I are running a 10K. I am not too nervous about the run (I have really been putting in the miles) but I am nervous about the cold. I do not deal well with cold and it is supposed to snow that morning. I guess I will deal, just slightly frozen, right?

Wow this is getting long! Dan (One of Mark's best friends was in town over the holidays and we got to see him (once! next time he stays with us!) Here are a couple pics of that:

Last month for President's day we went to beautiful (and WARMER than here) St. George to visit Matt & Marcee and family Tracy & Tyler were there too. It was wonderful! You really can't find any better than Hotel Edwards! Here are some pics of the visit:

I have more to post but gotta head for now!
